During the changeover, the carriage was lowered and at the same time the segment and the type levers were raised. you could see what was written immediately without having to tilt the carriage or the roller beforehand, as is customary with the machines with an undercarriage. The typewriter has signs of war, small rust stains and small scratches (it is over 100 years old). Already in 1901 it was succeeded by the 'Ideal A2', and is presented to you in these photos.

Only a few of the first model 'Ideal A' were built. The first machine called 'Ideal' was launched as early as 1900. Bruno Naumann (1844-1903), a trained precision mechanic who, together with Emil Seidel, founded the sewing machine and bicycle factory 'Seidel & Naumann' in Dresden in 1868, acquired the patents from them in 1899.
